On March 7, 2027, two runners are lacing up to represent CPARF's Athletes for Accessibility team at the Tokyo Marathon. That's 26.2 miles through one of the world's most electric race courses, tackled by two people who'd honestly rather be raising money for assistive technology than sitting still. Every stride is going toward making life-changing assistive tech accessible and affordable for people with disabilities. Sore legs for a good cause. We'll take that trade every time.

About CPARF

At CPARF, we’re driven to make life‑changing assistive technology accessible and affordable for people with disabilities.

Your gift fuels early‑stage innovators who are creating tools that make daily life better by helping people move, communicate, navigate, and live with more agency and confidence.

We are changing the system by ensuring these breakthroughs don’t stay out of reach. We bring stakeholders together to close the gaps that all too often leave people behind. Your support means promising technologies grow into solutions that everyone can access and afford.

About the Tokyo Marathon

This is the 20th anniversary Tokyo Marathon, and it's going big: 40,000 runners, the largest prize purse of any World Marathon Major, and for the first time ever, a full marathon para-athlete division with new entry categories built for runners with disabilities. Tokyo's also launching its first official Duo Team division, pairing buggy riders with pushers so they can cross the finish line together.

That's the kind of race we want to be part of.

Our Athletes for Accessibility team is running Tokyo 2027 to raise funds for CPARF's mission: better lives for people with cerebral palsy, through research, advocacy, and programs that break down barriers to full participation. Tokyo is making more room at the start line. We're making more room everywhere else. Here's how you can help us get there.
