NYC MARATHON 2026

I'm Running the NYC Marathon — And I Need Your Help

Hello!

Hello!

I’m honored and thrilled to share that I’ve been selected to run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon as part of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation’s Athletes for Accessibility team.

I’m running with a goal of raising $5,000 to help advance innovation for children and adults with CP. Every donation helps CPARF invest in scientific discovery, technology, and equity-centered initiatives that improve quality of life, treatment, and care.

As most of you know, this cause means the world to me and our family. Our oldest daughter, Camilla (aka Millie), has Cerebral Palsy. Before her diagnosis, we knew very little about CP or what the future might hold. What we’ve learned along the way is that this journey is full of uncertainty— but CP is a diagnosis, not a definition of who Camilla is.

Millie has an incredible team supporting her through physical, occupational, and speech therapy, and she continues to flourish, improve, and grow. Along the way, we’ve learned to appreciate the small moments and celebrate every victory, no matter how big or small.

Early on, after countless hours searching for answers, we realized how few personal stories were out there; mostly complex medical journals that were difficult to navigate. That gap inspired my wife, Caitlin, to start an Instagram account and blog to create a space for connection, honest conversation, and a judgment-free community. Most importantly, it’s a place where families can feel less alone. If you have a moment, I encourage you to visit the Instagram account (0neinamillie – yes, that is a zero not a O) and subscribe to the blog (oneinamillie.org). By doing so, you can learn more about Millie’s journey and better understand the realities of living with Cerebral Palsy.

There are so many days you wish you could wave a magic wand and make everything easier for your child. While we can’t do that, we can keep moving forward, raising awareness, expanding access to resources, and supporting research that brings hope for better outcomes.

That’s why supporting organizations like the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation is so important to us. They are driving advancements in treatment, improving care, and helping families like ours move forward with more support and possibility.

If you’re able, I would be incredibly grateful for your support in helping me reach my goal. Every donation truly makes a difference.

Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me!
