I'm Running the NYC Marathon — And I Need Your Help
Hello!
I’m thrilled and honored to share that I’ve been selected to run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon as part of Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation's Athletes for Accessibility team — and I need your support.
I’m running to raise $5,000 to help advance innovation for children and adults with disabilities. All donations help CPARF invest in scientific discovery, technological development, and equity-centered initiatives that improve quality of life, treatment, and care.
I am fortunate to work with this wonderful population through physical therapy. Even before applying to PT school, I knew I wanted to work with pediatrics. Throughout my schooling I have had the opportunity to learn and explore about this population and interventions to support them. I currently work for the San Francisco Public school's and have a caseload of several children in Elementary school with a CP diagnosis. Each of my sessions is geared to help provide access to the child's curriculum. This is through increasing strength, functional mobility such as walking, accessing stairs, sitting posture and providing equipment needs. As a new graduate, I love my job and I love being able to make a difference in this population.
This year is my golden year! I will be turning 26 on June 26 so what better way to celebrate than to challenge myself with running 26.2 miles!
