I'm Running the NYC Marathon — And I Need Your Help

Hello!

I’m thrilled and honored to share that I’ve been selected to run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon as part of Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation's Athletes for Accessibility team — and I need your support.

I’m running to raise $5,000 to help advance innovation for children and adults with disabilities. All donations help CPARF invest in scientific discovery, technological development, and equity-centered initiatives that improve quality of life, treatment, and care. 

Since I was 14 years old I knew I wanted to become a Physical Therapist, I am so privileged to have this opportunity and education. Even before starting PT school I knew that I wanted to work with the pediatric population and while I was obtaining my shadowing hours I was able to meet my first patient with CP. Once in PT school I was able to learn so much about the diagnosis and interventions and I couldn’t wait for my first clinical experience in outpatient pediatrics clinic where I would be able to treat several pediatric CP patients with the guidance of my clinical instructors. Being able to work with this population is my favorite because they all present so differently and require different interventions and equipment. I am proud to announce that after graduating from PT school, I moved to San Francisco where I currently work at the San Francisco United School district where I am able to treat students with all different kinds of diagnosis’s from CP and Down syndrome to rare genetic disorders. I love working at the elementary schools and providing my knowledge of adaptive equipment and interventions to help them grow stronger so that they can be able to access their education. 

This year is my golden year! I will be turning 26 on June 26 so what better way to celebrate than to challenge myself with running 26.2 miles!
