It’s a goal that you choose. A goal that you will push you beyond your norm. A goal that you can strive to achieve in the next 28 days.
Move4CP is all about being active in a way that works for you. That might be walking, riding, dancing, pushing your wheelchair, stretching, doing yoga, jumping rope, or even meditating.
The benefits of physical activity are numerous, like improved health and fitness, cardio and respiratory function, and stronger muscle and bone development — not to mention a good boost for your immune system.
Increased physical activity can also help with your ability to cope with anxiety and stress, improving your quality of sleep and provide a boost to your overall mental health.
You can set your MOVE goal in either hours or miles.
If you are unsure of where to start, we recommend the following goals as a guide:
10-15 hours or 30-45 miles (equal to 30-40 minutes a day)
15-21 hours or 60-85 miles (equal to 45-60 minutes a day)
21+ hours or 100 miles+ (equal to an hour or more a day)
If you find that you’re powering through the week more than you expected to, you can always update your MOVE goal at any time.
